Finance and Administration Officer

Finance and Administration Officer

Marenav is a dynamic Australian engineering and OEM of HVAC solutions operating in the defence industry based in Cromer, NSW.

We are hiring a hands-on and dynamic, driven Finance and Office Administration Manager looking to join an innovative and growing engineering company

Full time permanent position – possibility of 4 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, project costs control
  • Ensure all financial reporting key dates are met
  • Prepare and monitor Budgets and monitor variances.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and procurement processes
  • Oversee AP & AR processes, including invoicing, and collections.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Reviewing and updating of policies and procedures where required
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and travels when required and provide administrative support
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, training and necessary paperwork.
  • Take on ad-hoc duties as needed to support the team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as an office manager, or similar role with accounting responsibilities (3-5 years +)
  • Strong financial management skills, including expertise in accounting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Software knowledge -Xero or similar, MS Office Suite & MS Excel
  • Excellent administrative and organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Passing a AFP police check is essential
  • Ability to work in Australia
  • Australian Defence Force (ADF) experience is desirable

Technician – Mechanical/Electrical Assembly and Testing

Technical – Mechanical/Electrical Assembly and Testing

Marenav is a dynamic dedicated Australian OEM of Navy Heating Ventilation and Airconditioning (HVAC), Propulsion and Fresh water-cooling systems for naval ship applications based in Cromer, NSW, Australia.

We design, manufacture, installation and set to work end to end cooling solutions for marine applications. This includes ship inspections and problem identification, concept design, detail design, equipment design/selection, manufacture, factory testing, installation on board followed by commissioning and sea trials.

We are hiring a hands-on, driven technician looking to solve deliver outcomes manufacturing equipment, documenting, installing, and verifying operation in a growing and innovative company.

Responsibilities:

• Receipt of parts and inspections against design drawings.
• Assemble various mechanical parts of HVAC equipment and electrical panels
• Operate automated milling and gasket cutting machines.
• Participate in product development and feedback of design improvements to designers.
• Testing of assembled equipment (mechanical and electrical).
• Report any defects to the Production Supervisor.
• Fill out necessary production and related documentation.
• Operate forklift.
• General housekeeping.
• Site visits within Sydney to set to work assembled equipment.

Qualifications & Skills:

    • Proficiency with mechanical tools (spanner, wrench, etc.).
    • Proficiency with electrical tools (wire strippers, labellers etc).
    • Ability to read mechanical and electrical plans and diagrams.
    • Knowledge of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, a plus.
    • Possess high attention to detail and adhere to quality processes.
    • Demonstrated experience working in an assembly or production role.
    • Use of portable power tools.
    • Abide by Work Health Safety (WHS) guidelines at all times
    • Hold a current police clearance or be willing to obtain one
    • Be eligible for an Australian government security clearance.
    • Ability to work in Australia

    Australian Defence Force (ADF) experience is desirable
