Marenav owner Adam Smith met Elizabeth Bouchard and Richard Mueller at SNAME in Washington DC to discuss challenges facing the ship building industry and how to work together to resolve them.

SNAME is a US technical association which has been updating rule sets and guidance in the ship building industry. Marenav Pty Ltd is a proud member of SNAME, and we would encourage ship builders in Australia to look at what SNAME and its membership have to offer.

Marenav Expands Footprint to South Australia @ Lot Fourteen

Marenav has official opened it’s second location in Adelaide, “joining a growing network of defence talent at Lot Fourteen’s innovation district, adding important capability to the state’s naval shipbuilding ecosystem”

Adam Smith commented that “as a supplier of naval and commercial marine mechanical systems and equipment, it is important we are well-integrated into South Australia’s shipbuilding ecosystem to develop our range of products with established partners.”

Shock Testing MARENAV’s Australian HVAC Equipment

September 2024

Marenav Pty Ltd published an article in the Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN National) Newsletter on its recent shock test to the UK MAP 01-470 (Hunter Class Specification) of its Australian Designed, Australian Made HVAC equipment.

Adam Smith, Director of Operations said: “We know Marenav equipment meets the Navy grade, because we have tested it.”

Director General of Major Ships DGMS said: “The success of these Australian-designed and manufactured components demonstrates our sovereign capability and challenges the narrative around local production being a risk. By investing in our own manufacturing capabilities, we can improve the lethality of our platforms while supporting local industry and showcasing our expertise on the global stage.”
